For Molloys Liquor Stores across Dublin, we’ve crafted custom exterior signage, window decals, and a variety of interior signs for several branches. This included lightboxes, interior panel signs, and chalkboard vinyl wraps for different parts of the shops, adding functionality and style. Each installation reflects their brand’s distinct identity, creating a cohesive and polished look across all locations. We’re proud to contribute to Molloys’ unique presence, enhancing their customer experience throughout the city.

The Process

Exterior signage

For this project, we crafted an exterior illuminated sign with a durable, folded back panel featuring cut-out letters. Each letter was created from PVC foamex board and mounted onto the cut-out spaces, producing a striking backlit halo effect. Given the high-traffic area and potential impacts from nearby football games, we added an extra layer of protection by installing a clear polycarbonate cover—ensuring resilience against breakage while maintaining the sign’s clean and modern look.

Advertising graphics

We created adaptable advertising solutions tailored to each store's layout. In most locations, we applied seasonal graphics directly onto large windows, maximizing visibility and keeping promotions fresh. At a location with limited window space, we built custom aluminum frames to hold composite panels that display seasonal graphics, giving Molloys the flexibility to rotate their advertising in a creative and effective way.

Interior Signs

For this project, we crafted a variety of interior signs in multiple sizes to identify different liquor sections and display essential product information. Using durable PVC boards and ACM panels, each sign was designed to fit specific needs and laminated for long-term quality. Additionally, we installed backlit opal acrylic strips atop select shelves and fridges to clearly mark store sections. We also added LEDs and fresh graphics to the lightboxes above the fridges, creating a cohesive, illuminated look throughout the store.

Chalkboard vinyl wrap

For this part of the project, we added chalkboard vinyl to different areas within the stores. This allows the Molloys team to handwrite promotions and prices, adding a customizable, personal element that reflects the brand's unique style.
